Best practises for ITIL/MOF say, that you should not reactivate a closed incident, but there are a couple of situations where you have to change the state to Active once again. However there is good possible solution available for Microsoft System Center Service Manager 2010 SP1.


  1. Download and install SMLets cmdlets from
  2. Import the following Management Pack from here: download
  3. After that run the following PowerShell cmd as Administrator Get-ExecutionPolicy.  If you see Restricted you have to change that value to Unrestricted.

4.   To change the execution Policy run Set-ExecutionPolicy unrestricted.

5.   Run also from the PowerShell console as Administrator Import-Module SMLets


6.   Finish. The result should look likes that:
